Sanskrit term for a reverential greeting towards another person, recognizing their true essence.

"I greet the Higher Consciousness that is within you, with all the purity of my mind, with all sincerity and with all the love of my heart."

I revere the Divinity in you, as I recognize the spiritual and divine spark in all living entities.

It is performed by joining the palms of the hands, bowing the head, closing the eyes and pronouncing the word 'namaskāra'. By closing our eyes, we facilitate the process of seeing ourselves as spiritual beings and, in this way, focus on revering the soul of the other person.

It is associated with one of the oldest mudrā, Anjali Mudrā (the mudra of prayer); which, when practiced, allows us to absorb a high level and presence of Divine Consciousness.

The purpose of this greeting, by recognizing the divinity of the other person, raises our spiritual power in an attitude of surrender, humility and gratitude.

On the other hand, in terms of vibration, physical contact reinforces the flow of subtle energies between two people. This greeting, by not having physical contact, allows the reduction of the ability to negatively affect other people. In addition, the impact of negative frequencies is further reduced in this context, due to the presence of sattva (component of goodness) that resides in this greeting, when doing it consciously.

When one person greets with reverence for the divine being of another, a ring of emotion is created within them. Where there is spiritual emotion, Divinity is manifest. That is why the ring covers the person we are greeting, attracting the divine principle that, finally, expands in the environment.

Of all the spiritual greetings, 'Namaskāra' is the most sattvic way of greeting; so it is recommended to adopt it and experience it in the maximum possible presence and consciousness.

 Namaskāra.

3.1.1 The bird (jīva) eats the fruit as if it were sweet; and it is not that he eats only the sweet fruits and rejects the bitter ones. You have to eat both.

The Original Source does not eat that fruit which is destined for jīva.

"It is said that Lord  Viṣṇu, the changeless, is both the eater and the non-eater. He is the eater in the sense that he is above necessity. His enjoyment is not conditioned by Karma. He is the one who does not eat because he never suffers any pain." tattvasara

The Original Source moves in the hearts of everyone. But between the Supersoul and the soul there is a difference. The Original Source is Pure Consciousness that illuminates everything, the jiva is the experiencer.

The confidential science of Yoga is that which leads us to such a realization.

3.1.2 The cause of suffering, anxiety and affliction is the fact that the soul is submerged in bodily enjoyment and in the illusion of what is mine and what is yours. The method of emancipation from said slavery is described as realizing the Original Source in everyone and everything, independent of māyā, taking refuge in the Supreme Spring of Original Love.

    Divāḷī, the Festival of Lights.

"Divāḷī", a Sanskrit word that refers to ´row of lights´.

The Divāḷī Festival takes place, at a very remote moment, to remind us of our very own light with the presence of Divinity, we have the opportunity to remain light no matter how dark the times are.
